The client is a global IT services provider working with public and private sector organizations managing their mission-critical business processes and the underlying IT systems. An FTSE 250 company, the client employs 50,000 people across the globe.

The client had a sprawling onsite database infrastructure (500+ database instances) meant to support day-to-day operations of multiple end customers. The environment was sub-optimal resulting in low service availability. This had an impact on the responses to pubic emergencies and communication between the public and local governments.
