Roles & Responsibilities
a. OS disk management and connectivity to the server with opened ports
b. Establishing a connection and creating a session/logins.
c. Configure database Client tools.
d. Perform simple connection troubleshooting.
a. Connect to DB console.
b. Check error logs, resources for utilization status - in line with physical structure, provide SOP based isolation
c. Database indexes, Database Backups, performance reports using tools, Database file management, User credentials management using SOP
a. Check the status of high availability services (such as clusters, replication, mirroring and data guard etc.)
b. Identify issue and alert L2/L3 support
Enterprise Management Tools - Native
a. Login and monitor database using enterprise management tool
b. Creating reports, analyzing application violations, alerts, action sets and system events and security policies on Impervo Secure Sphere.
c. Managing Impervo gateways and agents settings and activation.
d. Monitor oracle/MS SQL database user activities using Arcsight SIEM tool and imperva GUI
a. Monitor back up jobs / recovery jobs and report exceptions
b. Perform closed/hot Database Backups.
c. Configure basic stats pack and know how to take stats pack report.
d. Basic administration of OEM console
e. Proactive monitoring and administration of RMAN utility and its various parameters.
f. Administer and alter security and audit parameters under guidance.
g. Manage different parameters used in Password file
a. Move the databases from older database version to new versions.
b. Fix the login issues which could crop up due to the migration of database
a. Complete development of units with designs prepared by more senior developers.
b. Participate in code reviews, prepares and executes unit tests.
a. Application and Database Server monitoring and support of critical applications as part of the OE.
b. Coding and Testing of Jobs, Scripts [Oracle and UNIX shell scripts] as applicable for different business applications.
