SASE and ZTNA

Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) is a cloud-delivered service that combines network and security functions with WAN capabilities to support the dynamic, secure access needs of today’s hybrid organizations. Conceptually, SASE extends networking and security capabilities beyond where they are typically available. This lets users, regardless of location, take advantage of the firewall as a service (FWaaS), secure web gateway (SWG), zero-trust network access (ZTNA), and a host of threat detection functions.

Enterprise networks are increasingly reliant on cloud-based applications to run their businesses and support distributed workflows to support remote and mobile users. This has resulted in the conventional enterprise network rapidly growing beyond the conventional network edge, challenging infrastructure leaders to secure and manage an ever-expanding attack surface. While Software-Defined networks (SDN) have advanced rapidly enough to support the workflows of these remote endpoints, most security tools have not kept pace, rendering VPN-only solutions obsolete. For organizations to remain competitive, all endpoints must be secured and managed with the same security and networking policies as their on-premises infrastructure, regardless of where they’re located.

Microland Smart Branch SASE provides 24x7 monitoring of a customer’s Network, Security, and Cloud estate against malicious events, enterprise-wide user traffic analysis, proactive management, and response to threats including initial containment and incident response to mitigate threats. For our solution, we are leveraging the Zscaler platform integrated with a NextGen SIEM to monitor business-critical applications and sensitive data on the cloud.

When properly implemented, a SASE approach allows organizations to apply secure access no matter where their users, workloads, devices, or applications are located. This becomes imperative as more users join the remote workforce, SaaS applications see rapid adoption, and data is moved rapidly across data centers, branch offices, and hybrid- and multi-cloud environments.

Microland's Digital eXperience Management (DXM)

Enriching user experience (UX) through enterprise networking is of utmost importance for organizations to improve business productivity and growth. This entails ensuring smooth connectivity, efficient and secure resource access, user-friendly interfaces, dependable performance, and effective support. By thoroughly understanding and fulfilling user requirements and expectations, organizations can optimize their interaction with network infrastructure and applications. Therefore, prioritizing UX is critical for enterprises to attain exceptional networking experiences.

Microland's Digital eXperience Management (DXM) solution combines their Intelligeni NetOps Platform and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) with a robust UX module. This integrated solution equips organizations with powerful capabilities to assess, control, and proactively identify issues in user satisfaction, location dissatisfaction, end-user experience, and application performance indicators. Microland's Intelligeni NetOps Platform Analytics and User Experience Management solution provides customers with a comprehensive view of service status, compliance, and user experience.

Our platform-based approach provides comprehensive experience visualization, allowing organizations to quickly identify trends and patterns. It also offers historical performance dashboards for tracking and benchmarking performance over time and continuous experience improvement capabilities to make informed decisions that enhance user satisfaction. Furthermore, the platform supports eXperience Level Agreement (XLA) reporting, enabling organizations to monitor and report their performance against user experience targets and commitments.

With its DXM module, Microland delivers a comprehensive suite of capabilities to effectively monitor, manage, and optimize user experience in digital network deployments. Enterprises can gain valuable insights, make data-driven decisions, and continually enhance user satisfaction, thereby maintaining a competitive edge.
