From the Internet to query engines that wade through large, complex and sometimes unstructured databases, search helps find the meaningful. And it is into this world of meaning that this Digital Warrior dived into. Prabodh’s query engine that sits on top of Microland’s coveted AI Ops platform Intelligeni helps users query a graph database and visualize the semantic relationships between the devices on a system. It gets cooler. He built in natural language functions that meant a simple query like “what has changed?” gives a snapshot in a jiffy. “He single handedly invented Intelligeni’s query language which is now an extremely key part of everything we do with Intelligeni,” read his nomination with the compliment “100% worthy of nomination.” Take a bow, Probodh! In a world of innovation conversations, Prabodh pivoted straight into the “invention” space like a rock star. The inspiration to create our own query language with rules, syntax and the works came to him even before he became a full-fledged Microlander. Satish Sukumar, our Chief Innovation Officer, has crafted this as an inspiring challenge for Prabodh who was a bright intern. The challenge was to create a language that could work with a single query and represent data in a UI-ready format – visualized as patterns and graphs. And thus a solo project with a magnificent output was executed—one that is on the path to serving the original objective of extending this language to users as an alternative for the de facto open source query language GraphQL. Today, Probodh’s query engine is modestly christened IGQL (Intelligeni Query Language) and is a key differentiator for Intelligeni. Made for developers and users, it is designed to aid developers in any AI Ops environment. Passionate about Microland being an Indian company as he bagged his internship, Prabodh fondly recalls how “landing up in a project like Intelligeni felt like working on a bunch of technologies in a start-up.” It was this experience that led him to become a full time Microlander. And for someone with an eclectic range of interests and in a perpetual quest for the best in music, painting, poems and cooking it’s easy to see how much he enjoys life, and Microland with it. Prabodh Kotasthane This Digital Warrior developed a query engine that helps users to query the graph database and visualize the semantic relationships between the devices together with the monitoring data for better network issue resolution. The engine is extensible to natural language based programming as well.“
