Microland was a key sponsor at the NASSCOM Infrastructure Management Services Summit held at Bangalore, India on 21st & 22nd September 2011. As Chairman of the NASSCOM RIM Forum, Pradeep Kar, Chairman & Managing Director, Microland, provided the Opening Remarks setting the context for the Summit's theme which was "Infrastructure Management in an On-demand, Anytime, Anywhere world". Pradeep was also the chair for the Panel Discussion on "The Emerging Scenario of an On Demand, Anytime and Anywhere World". M S Rangaraj, Chief Innovation Officer, Microland was invited to chair the Panel Discussion on "Trigger points- Driving traditional datacenter to private cloud". This Summit saw the attendance of 375 key IT leaders, decision makers and renowned analysts.

Microland announces a Multi-Million Dollar
IMS deal with Serco at a Press Conference
in Bangalore

Microland hosted a press conference on August 10 2011 at Bangalore to announce the signing of a strategic multi-year contract valued at $55 million with Serco Limited, a leading international service company headquartered in the United Kingdom. This saw the attendance of all major dailies and technology publications and resulted in significant media coverage of this deal. During the press conference, Pradeep Kar (Chairman & Managing Director), Jawahar Bekay (Chief Operating Officer), V M Kumar (Chief Marketing Officer) and M S Rangaraj (Chief Innovation Officer) addressed the audience about Microland's current services and strategic directions for the future as well.

Microland has been providing remote IT infrastructure management services to Serco since 2005. Under the new contract, Microland will continue to provide specialist support for a range of devices through an expanded team located in Birmingham, UK, and Bangalore, India.

Summit 2010

Microland was a key sponsor at the first-ever NASSCOM IMS Summit held at Bangalore, India on 15th & 16th September 2010. The theme of the Summit was "Transformation Through Disruption" and the purpose was to address the emerging issues in IT Infrastructure Services, establish the business-vendor connect and position India as "The Destination". This Summit attracted the presence of several IT leaders, decision makers and renowned analysts.

As Chairman of the NASSCOM RIM Forum, Pradeep Kar, Chairman & Managing Director, Microland, set the context of the Summit by walking through the history and purpose of NASSCOM RIM Forum and the objectives of this Summit. Jawahar Bekay, Chief Operating Officer, Microland, was invited to chair and participate in the panel discussion on "Measuring Transformation & Business Impact". Pradeep Kar also gave the closing remarks of the Summit and formally marked its successful closure.

Microland was the Platinum Sponsor of the "Emerging Unified Communications Technology Conference 2010" organized by IDC in New Delhi on November 19th. This was a focussed gathering of key decision makers in IT for understanding the value of Unified Communications and charting a roadmap for its implementation by interacting with the best of solution providers in this space.

Expo and Conference

Microland was the bronze sponsor at the Interop Expo and Conference held held from 7-9, October 2009 at the Bombay exhibition center, Goregaon. This was the first time Interop had organized in India. The expo and conference attracted several IT leaders and decision makers. Microland had an interactive booth which attracted many visitors. Jawahar Bekay, COO of Microland was invited to participate in a panel discussion titled "Outsourcing in the Indian Context: Issues and Challenges".

Microland was one of the sponsors at the Gartner Outsourcing Summit held at London from 2-4 June 2008. The Outsourcing Summit is held every year and attracts over 700 outsourcing decision-makers.This year the event was held at the Royal LancasterHotel in London.
